We met through the Air Force in 2022 after getting stationed at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. Our friendship quickly turned to something more after spending time together both inside and outside of work. We realized how much we enjoyed doing similar things like traveling, trying new activities and food, and spending time with friends & family. The spark was ignited at a Halloween Party where Adrian was dressed as Lt Dangle and Lianna as Pitbull and from that point on, we knew we didn't want to be apart. Shortly afterward, Adrian took Lianna on their first date to the R.W. Norton Art Gallery followed by wine, a picnic, and a guitar serenade in the botanical gardens. Unfortunately, the Air Force had decided to send Lianna to North Dakota just a few months later and Adrian was to stay in Louisiana. It had only been a short time but we both knew this was it. We begged our leadership to let us stay together and were lucky enough to be able to stay in the warmth of the South (though Adrian never fails to remind her he would have gone up north for her, despite his warm-blooded Miami roots).
Less than a month into our relationship, Adrian asked Lianna if she wanted to come to Miami with him to meet his family for Christmas. Although this was not something that Lianna had a lot of experience with and it made her nervous, not only did she say yes, but she also invited him to Virginia for New Years to meet her family as well. This was a wonderful surprise for both our parents because we had both been claiming for years that we were going remain single for the rest of our lives. Lianna has felt incredibly loved and accepted by Adrian's parents and grandmother from the moment she met them, which only made her more sure that Adrian was the one. Adrian was terrified to meet her mom and dad (who was a 6'3 Army Colonel) in addition to two sisters after growing up an only child , but he quickly realized he had no reason to be worried and almost immediately felt at home with his new family. Both our families could not be more excited to officially be joined by our marriage, although we have already felt like one big family for years.
Adrian proposed in April 2024 in Washington DC during the cherry blossom bloom and followed it up with a surprise engagement party with our families and friends. The three years we have been together have consisted of travels all over the world, buying our first house, getting engaged, and obsessing over our cats Ivy and Zarya.
& the best is yet to come :)
Thursday, 23 April
Saint Jordi is a vibrant Catalan tradition celebrated anually on April 23 in Barcelona. The day is marked by the exchange of roses and books, symbolizing love and culture, and is known for its festive atmosphere with book and rose stalls filling the streets. We will meet outside Casa Battlo building designed by Gaudi at 2pm for a quick photo and explore the city from there. We recommend eating lunch at El Nacional nearby. One of the best ways to see the city is by purchasing an all-day ticket on one of the open air tourist buses.
The wedding party will head back to the venue to prepare for the wedding ceremony.

Almiral De La Font is what is known in Catalunya as a “masia”, a Catalan farmhouse. The property has always been and still is actively farmed; the land around Almiral produces white “Xarello” grapes frequently used in Freixenet and Cordoniu cavas but also used in the famous Almiral de la Font wine and cava. The original building is over 400 years old. Although the house has gone through significant restoration, great care was taken to preserve the original features while also incorporating modern additions. It is surrounded by vineyards and is a great place for food and bike tours, wine tastings, golfing, and so much more! Almiral de la Font is located in vicinity of Sitges, a beach town filled with winding streets, great restaurants, and a wonderful atmosphere. Its close proximity to Barcelona makes it a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. We hope you are able to take time and explore this beautiful area before or after the wedding. This beauty and charm was what made us sure that it is the perfect location to begin the rest of our lives together. We can't wait to celebrate our wedding here with you!
Please check your passports ASAP, you are required to have 3 months of passport validity beyond your date of departure. It can take 4-6 weeks for renewals.
Please ensure you have proper power adapters and surge protectors, especially if you are bringing things like hair tools. Also consider an international phone plan and bringing Euros from your bank to prevent extra fees. We recommend booking activities, tours, and some restaurants in advance.
You will find car rental companies in both T1 and T2B. The access road to the airport, the C-31 Barcelona-Castelldefels dual carriageway, connects with the C-32 Barcelona-Sitges. Not recommended unless you plan to leave Sitges/Barcelona area, there will be a bus provided for wedding events to take you from hotels to the venue.
The train to Sitges leaves from opposite T2B (if you land at T1 you will need to take the free shuttle bus to T2). The train is not direct, you have to change once after one stop at El Prat de LLobregat. The first train leaves the airport at 06.00, gets to El Prat de Llobregat at 06.05, the Sitges train then leaves at 06.26 and arrives in Sitges at 06.51. The last train leaves the airport at 22.59. Traveling by train back to Barcelona is cheap, fast, efficient and takes you to the heart of the city (Paseig de Gràcia or Sants).
The bus to Sitges leaves from in front of terminal T1 (from bus bay 7), so if you land at T2 you will first need to take the free shuttle to T1. The journey time to Sitges is approximately 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. The Bus leaves more or less every hour on weekdays from 07.40 to 22.40 and every 2 hours from 08.40 to 22.40 on Saturdays and every 4 hours from 09.40 to 21.40 on Sundays.
Barcelona Airport has 2 terminals: Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 which has 3 separate buildings (T2A, T2B and T2C). There are taxi ranks at T1, in the arrivals zone (P0) and in the Barcelona-Madrid air corridor; and in T2, in front of T2A, T2B and T2C. A taxi/uber from the airport to Sitges will cost approximately €70.
We recommend booking your hotel before 2026 for best pricing. Below are our top 3 recommendations based on value, location, and reviews; click the image to visit their website and book. The wedding bus pickup/dropoff will be along the most booked hotels along Passeig Maririm road. The bus cannot go through side roads so you may have to walk a few minutes if you choose another option not on Maririm. You are not limited to the listed hotels however we do highly recommend you stay in Sitges for the duration of the celebration.
We are grateful for your presence at our wedding. If you'd like to contribute, please click Registry above to access it.
